A couple of weeks ago, driving home from a filming assignment, the setting sun created a “pillar” of light into the clouds. Of course there was no good place to pull over so I kept on driving hoping this rare atmospheric would stick around for a few minutes. When I finally got to a spot where I could set up a shot the pillar was much less pronounced but still there.
